MEN’S MINISTRY NETWORK

The idea of a men’s ministry network was birthed in 2010 following a Men’s Conference which saw 7 para-churches/churches/men’s ministries coming together as Participating Organisations and men from 136 churches involved as Conference attendees. An inaugural meeting was held in July 2010.

To date, several consultative meetings have been held with pastors, board members, key men’s ministry leaders and lay leaders involved and more than 20 churches / men’s ministries are part of this Network.

We invite you to prayerfully consider involvement if:

-
You are a pastor or lay leader in your church or para-church and you have a heart or sense a burden for the men in your church – this is irrespective of whether or not your church currently has a men’s ministry.

-
You are already involved in some leadership or active capacity in a core team of your church’s men’s ministry

More information on the Network is below :

The vision of the men’s ministry network is a men’s movement in Singapore and beyond, a movement of men returning to biblical manhood.

The mission of this network is to encourage, equip and empower ministries to men in local churches where such ministries find their expression contextualized within respective local church mission, infrastructures and cultures.

The goal of men’s ministry or ministries to men is simply about reaching men and discipling them in Christ.

Practically, the network seeks to facilitate awareness, accessibility and availability to its members, the following:

-
Relationships for encouragement and support

-
Resources for contribution, sharing and mutual use.

-
Consultations for mutual learning and application.

-
Collaborations for greater synergy and effectiveness. It is conceived that an annual event be supported / participated by members of the network.

Leverage by any member of the network of the above for its men’s ministry is at the member’s sole discretion save for a collaborative annual event.

An example of such collaborative events is the Men’s Conference in 2010 which saw the participation of 7 para church / churches / men’s ministries and this year’s 2011 Men’s Conference which sees more than 20 such Participating Organizations.

The Network is not a formally constituted organization based on hierarchy or structure. Membership is strictly voluntary. Association is relationships based, cooperation loose, Biblically-centred, Spirit-led and God-glorifying.
